Kiersa has started counting. She counts to 6 before she just repeats 6 over and over. She wants to try everything the big kids do.
She tries to sing songs and you can sometimes recognize the tune.
She refuses to be fed anything. She wants to do everything herself.
She still has an obsession with reading books, and will undoubtedly be my earliest reader.
She climbs trees now.
She is trying to skip too, but I think it'll be at least a year or 2 before she nails it.
TALEA
Talea still looks forward to getting shots. She had to get 4 shots for starting school the other day, and she was so excited for it! We took her in, only to find we had to wait 2 days. She was so bummed!
It's the band-aids she's after. She's always been obsessed with them. (She's 2 here, with baby Hyatt)

She doesn't actually like the poke, but she's bears it bravely, better than anyone I've ever seen at her age, in order to get a band-aid. I took her to the Dollar Tree afterward to pick a box of band-aids for being so good, but they only had dorky plain ones, so she got a princess ice pack instead.
I FINALLY got Talea to learn to skip a couple weeks ago. It's taken me YEARS to teach her this. Physical coordination is not her strongest talent, by any means. She's taking forever to learn to ride a bike! She took forever to learn to skip. I don't know that she'll excel at sports. We'll see.
HYATT
Hyatt just learned to skip too, just days after Talea and with minimal effort on my part. I tried about 50 different methods of teaching Talea to skip before I finally figured out what worked for her. Hyatt, I tried one. And it took all of 5 minutes of practice.

He rides without training wheels better than Talea, though he can't quite do it alone yet.
He loves to swim and will dive for rings underwater, though he doesn't quite have the swimming technique down yet.
PAISLI
Pretty much the day after we returned from Utah...
...Paisli decided she wanted to start sitting up by herself with no support. She did it fine as though she's been doing it all along. It's very cute to see her sit there and play with toys like a big girl. She hardly looks like a baby anymore!
...Paisli's eczema around her mouth cleared up. I can only imagine the dry climate of Idaho will aggravate it like Utah's did. I guess Eucerin will be our new best friend.
...Paisli decided she hates eating baby food, or any food for that matter. All of our kids detested bottled baby food and baby cereals, but they would eat certain ones. Paisli flat out refuses to eat anything but formula and . No matter how you try, she forces everything out of her mouth and gives a disgusted face. Even delectable black berries! Bottles are the only thing she'll accept, so we can only sneak cereal to her when it's mixed in her bottle. My other kids wanted to at least try table food starting around 4 months. Not Paisli.
...Paisli started holding her own bottle like a pro, full time. I never have to hold it or prop it up anymore.

Kiersa: She gets stuck on six?! Devil child!! Hehehe. Glad to see she loves books. Did you ever get that 100 easy lessons book?
Talea: At least now I know what to get the child for Christmas! Tabs just got her school injections and was home sick with a fever today.
Hyatt: He's such a quick learner. I love that guy!! He's probably going to be the most popular in high school with three sisters to help him learn how to treat girls.
Paisli: Congrats on sitting up. Is she that old already?! My kids hated baby food too. Well, Tabs pretty much hated all food!
i wish mar would be hooked on bottles! she used to eat anything i put in her mouth...but lately she wont eat a thing! paisli needs to teach her how to eat bottles :)
